When Navigating Food Feels Hard
If your relationship with food and your body feels confusing or exhausting, you’re not alone.
Many people arrive here after years of trying to make sense of food and body concerns in systems that offer mixed messages, pressure, and very little nuance. What often feels like a personal failure is usually the result of being asked to follow rules and expectations that disconnect you from your body and your own wisdom.

Client Reflections
What people often share after working together.
Reflections from individuals and caregivers navigating food and body concerns with steady, compassionate support.
"I worked with so many providers and basically no one applied a holistic, trauma-informed perspective to my care, or connected the dots in a way that helped me understand what I was going through but you did. I really believe this was critical to my healing long term and I would not be where I am today without your expertise and help. I am extremely grateful you were willing and able to be so responsive to my specific situation instead of using a one-size-fits-all approach, and I wanted to let you know what a profound impact it has had on my overall well-being."
“Food does not control every aspect of my life anymore. I have a number of insights and discoveries about my disorder, habits and behaviors. It is not easy, but it is life changing. I started in a place of denial and disordered eating, and I was at the end of my rope. Now I have tools that I use daily in my fight with disordered eating and remaining free from the prison of detrimental eating behaviors. Thank you for providing an environment for me to discover the truth about my disordered eating and giving me the tools to improve.”
“This [recovery] experience has opened my eyes to owning, loving, and taking care of my own body. It holds a mirror to the hard parts and helps us figure out how to get to a safe and more comfortable space with it. The work is hard and painful, but so important. I would not be in recovery and as far along as I am without this work. Most of our sessions are extremely helpful and insightful. I really appreciate the time and effort that Sophia put into our sessions. I am very grateful for her.”
“In all the years I have been dealing with "dieting" and weight struggles, I never felt heard, believed, or understood until my recent meetings with you and (Naturopath). In the past from "Medical professionals", it was always just more body shaming and presuming I was lying about what I ate..I felt quite helpless...I am beginning to develop a healthier relationship with my body, an awareness of what my body wants and does not want.... I appreciate your personality, kindness, wisdom and patience in guiding me through my new life."
“Freedom is starting to look more attainable and I can finally start to think that maybe truly trusting myself with/around food is possible. Your sessions make me feel more confident keeping up recovery. Thanks for all your help and noticeable effort you put into our work”
“Sophia has been amazing to work with. She does a fine job of affirming the good practices that I currently have and giving good suggestions about making modifications as needed. She is quite knowledgeable about the science behind food and always sends me home with good notes to ponder and practice in between nutrition visits. I feel well supported in my goals to increase my overall health. I highly recommend Sophia for her expertise as well as the very supportive environment she creates for her clients."
“I want to extend my sincerest appreciation for the support you have provided in my meal plans! As one of my challenges had been getting my liver numbers under control, your suggestions on foods that promote liver support have been invaluable in helping me accomplish that! For the first time in years my liver counts from my most recent lab results are within normal range…your nutrition counseling helped me to retain perspective, to find peace in my state of health and to recognize my accomplishments in improving it. I thank you tremendously!"
“I want you to know how much you’ve meant to me. Working with you has been invaluable to my growth as a person. I can’t thank you enough for the wisdom, compassion, and courage you’ve imparted to me."
“Working together has gotten rid of a lot of my guilt around eating, specifically after I eat something I use to think was “bad” or “unhealthy” it has gone down by 90 % I would say. I am starting to become more body neutral and focus on my mental and physical health rather than what I look like.."
“I feel that I have made great growth in my recovery and that I am able to nourish my body better because of our work together. I feel like overall, looking back I have made great progress with my ED and I am so glad I took the jump to work with you."
“Thank you for your patience. I really love your heart and it helps me a ton. I do hear you in my head at times when struggling to eat. Thank you and I really appreciate your help in my recovery."
